Our Repair Process

At Device Pitstop, we prefer to keep things simple for our customers in Maplewood. Just like our buying, selling, and trading services our quite easy and straightforward – so is our repair process.

Here’s how things work with our repair process. You bring in your broken devices to convenient Maplewood location. We don’t send technicians to you. You must bring in the broken electronics – whether it be a desktop computer or a smartphone.

We do this to save you money. Sending technicians to your home is costly for us, and thus – would be expensive for you. Instead, we do everything at our store and pass the cost savings along to our customers.

So you bring in the broken smartphone, laptop, or computer. We take the device to the back and run a few diagnostic tests to dial in on what they real problem is. Once we know what needs to be fixed, we get back to you.

We let you know what type of damages need fixed, what other issues could be fixed, and how much everything will cost. We never charge a fee for diagnostic testing unless you decide not to repair your item at Device Pitstop.

Once you’re ready to go, we handle a little paperwork. Then your broken device finds its way to the back with one of our certified technicians. This is where the magic happens. You head homes and our staff gets to work.

Within one to five days, your device is like new again. Our certified technicians take great pride in their ability to fix any item properly – the first time around. You simple come back into the store when we give you a call and pick up your item.

Upon pick up, you’ll test the device for functionality and then pay the bill. That’s all there is to it.

One last thing to note. Some damages are beyond repair. If the cost of repairing your item is far too much than you’d like to pay, we can offer you trade-credit for the device. This way you still get some value out of the damaged gadget – while having the opportunity to find another one that fits your needs.
