This year more than ever has been trying for Minnesota Educators and most importantly students who are now adapting to a new and constantly changing way of learning. Those teachers and students in the Osseo school district would love your support. The District 279 Foundation serves the fifth largest school district in Minnesota and they believe there is a moral, social and economic imperative to support student success. Their vision is to provide learning opportunities for students in the Osseo Area Schools of Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Corcoran, Dayton, Maple Grove, Osseo, Plymouth and Rogers. Device Pitstop of Maple Grove has been a proud sponsor and supporter of the District 279 Foundation for years. Our owner, Brad Swenson, is a trustee of this foundation and his passion for education, student growth and increased opportunities for success has only strengthened this year.
Typically a live, in person event would be a no brainer but in the age of 2020 they are hosting, A Night In. This year’s virtual event will include an online auction and virtual program on Friday, February 5. We expect between 250-300 attendees including many business, city, school and community leaders who want to support students and educators in our schools. Your party at home with your inner circle would include:
- Party Packs designed to enhance a household’s A Night In experience. You can distribute the Party Pack to those that you would like to invite to be a part of the virtual event. The Party Pack will include items like popcorn, beverages, and other creative items and treats. Your guests can enjoy these treats while attending the virtual event and supporting students in Osseo Area Schools.
- Sponsors will have an opportunity to provide a promotional/marketing item to be included in the Party Pack. This will provide your business an opportunity to be visible in the homes of attendees.
- As a partner, Foundation staff are willing to work with you to customize this experience and provide recognition opportunities that would make the event valuable and memorable.
This year more than ever, your A Night In sponsorship will help support educators in their schools during this time of uncertainty. The global pandemic creates unique challenges for teaching and learning during this school year. District 279 Foundation strives to support teachers with the necessary supplemental materials, tools and programs that further enable student success in the unique hybrid and distance learning environments.
